I read a VERY interesting article in the 10/19/10 of the Everett Herald about the correlation of the amount of sleep you get to the amount of fat you burn. In a study published on-line (who knows the source), cutting your time from 8.5 hours to 5.5 hours of sleep showed a that you lose LESS fat when you sleep less. There are so many other benefits to sleeping, anyway, feeling better rested, repairing your body, etc… Of the weight that the dieters lost, 50% was fat. When they deprived themselves of sleep, only 25% of the weight lost was fat. SO make sure you sleep more.
