Hello All,

This is my first attempt at blogging, so we’ll see how it goes. Let me know if you have any suggestions.

Last week was not a good week for sales. I hardly spent anything on groceries, and I am glad that I waited because there are some good deals at Fred Meyer this week:

Fred Meyer:

  • FM Milk/OJ Half gallons for $1-this is my big deal of the week!!!!
  • Breyer’s ALL NATURAL Ice Cream $2.50
  • Satsuma 5 lbs. $3.97
  • 4lb. bag of frozen skinless chicken breasts $1.79/lb ($7.16 for a bag)
  • 27 oz. can of Hunt’s Tomato Sauce .67 (I buy the one with no added sugar because it has no high fructose corn syrup)
  • not in the ad, so I don’t know how long it will last-ORGANIC pears 3 lbs./$1

FREE: free sample of Emergenc-for “power to boost your health” http://www.emergenc.com/ after a moment, the free sample is on the top right hand side. You’ll be asked to send it to a friend, and the friend can be you.

FREE: Tomorrow, 11/4, Election Day only, Starbucks is giving away a tall cup of brewed coffee if you tell them you voted. VOTE and the COFFEE is ON US. What if we all cared enough to vote? Not just 54% of us, but 100% of us? What if we cared as much on Nov. 5th as we care on Nov. 4th? What if we cared all of the time the way we care some of the time? Would our world be a better place? We think so, too. So come into Starbucks on Nov. 4th, tell us you voted and we'll proudly give you a tall cup of brewed coffee on us. You and Starbucks. It's bigger than coffee.

FREE Audio Bible: From John Williams: Sonja, at both of these websites you can choose any passage to read as well as listen to:

At this site you can choose from many different translations – http://www.biblegateway.com/passage/ – There’s a little “Speaker” button at the top of the passage window that activates the audio if you choose.

At this site – http://www.gnpcb.org/esv/browse/ – there’s also a link by the reference to listen to the passage. This site also features several “Devotional” reading plans complete with RSS feeds so you can add them to your blog reader.

Bill Savings: We used to pay $36.20 bi-monthly for the standard 36 gallon trash can and never came close to filling it up, so I called the City of Marysville to see if there were alternatives. We ended up getting a smaller 20 gallon trash can, which is $7 cheaper than the standard for every 2 months. So there’s an extra $42 a year. You can also have the 36 gallon picked up once a month for $17.60.
